Argentina condemns terrorist attack in Iraq

In the face of the gruesome terrorist attack perpetrated yesterday in the city of Al Hillah, 100 kilometres south of Baghdad, Iraq, which left a tragic toll of at least 80 dead and several injured, the Argentine Republic expresses its strongest condemnation of these acts of violence.

The Argentine Government conveys its condolences and solidarity to the Government and people of Iraq, especially to the injured and to the victims’ families.

Argentina reaffirms its intention to strengthen the fight against terrorism and ensure international peace and security, within the framework of international law and respect for human rights.
