Information for the Press N°:
353/16

The Argentine Republic condemns once again, in the most vigorous terms, the unsuccessful missile launch that took place on Thursday 21 October, by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

This is the second unsuccessful launch by said country in a week and the fifth test in two months, which constitutes yet another hostile act and provocation to the international community and a clear violation of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions, which expressly prohibit launches by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea using ballistic missile technology.

It is imperative that the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea immediately comply with the abovementioned Security Council Resolutions and cease all hostile acts in the region, which constitute a threat to non-proliferation and international peace and security.
