Election in Senegal (27 March 2024)

Following the President’s message, France once again warmly congratulates Bassirou Diomaye Faye on his election as President of Senegal.

France pays tribute to the commitment of all those who enabled the election to be held in an atmosphere of calm, with a high turnout, in accordance with Senegal’s long democratic tradition.

France is fully mobilized to work with the new authorities on all our common priorities, serving our peoples.
