We at the U.S. Consulate in Nuuk were saddened to learn of the recent death of Dr. Konrad (Koni) Steffen due to an accident on the Greenlandic ice cap. Dr. Steffen had worked closely with American and Greenlandic scientists throughout his career, including on National Science Foundation projects. On behalf of the U.S. Embassy and Consulate communities in the Kingdom of Denmark, we would like to convey our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and colleagues.
