Within the framework of the Argentina-Brazil Mechanism of Political Coordination established in May 2016, the Argentine Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Pedro Villagra Delgado, held a meeting with his Brazilian counterpart, Bezerra Abbott Galvao.

The Secretaries for Foreign Affairs of the two countries decided last March to hold a meeting of the Mechanism, which took place yesterday, May 30, in Brasilia.

The main aim of this Political Coordination forum is for the two Foreign Ministries to exchange opinions on items on the bilateral, regional and global agenda.  At the meeting, the Secretaries also assessed the degree of progress on the execution of the actions set forth in the Action Plan agreed in February of this year between the two Governments, so as to boost the development, growth and job creation agenda in the two countries.
