Peru is tightening COVID-19 restrictions before the upcoming festive season.
Officials are also speeding up vaccination for booster shots to check the spread of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus.
The Peruvian government is reducing public capacity in shopping centres from 80 percent to 60 percent and extending curfew by two hours during Christmas and New Year.
The government is desperate to prevent more deaths, but not everyone is convinced the new measures will work.
