A lot has changed in France’s travel restrictions in the past few weeks, as they have through many European countries, many of whom are easing restrictions in time for spring and summer holiday bookings. There are gradually fewer and fewer hoops for the average tourist to jump through in order to taste a bite of a delicious macaron on the Champs Elysée, to wine taste in the lavender fields of Provence or visit those sumptuous châteaux of the Loire region. So much so, that the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) predicted a tourist boom this summer in France. Here’s a handy guide to the restrictions getting easier-by-the-day from 14 March onwards:Any arrivals still need to fill in forms to show customs and airlines, which differ depending on their situation–more information can be found on the government’s English-language website here.
