Cuba’s economy hurt by closure of European airspace to Russian planes

The sanctions imposed by Europe and other countries on Russia following its offensive in Ukraine have already had an impact on the world economy, which is still trying to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ripple effects have reached the Americas and the Caribbean, including Cuba.
