Costa Rica has finally come to their senses in regards to who they’re letting in the country during the Covid crisis. Country by country, state by state, all that is done. Finally, Costa Rica will be welcoming in the World come November 1st. It’s the economy, stupid. But I have bigger news, huge news, bigger than huge news about the covid test requirement and the travelers insurance requirement. It’s a rumor right now but hopefully it will become true. Starting November 1st, tourist from anywhere in the world will be welcomed to visit Costa Rica.
On November 1st, Costa Rica will nix the current requirement that says tourists must come from an approved location, Gustavo Segura, the Tourist Minister, announced on Friday. Visitors will still need to purchase travel insurance and obtain a negative coronavirus test in order to enter Costa Rica.
Requirements for tourists to enter Costa Rica
1.All people entering Costa Rica must complete the digital epidemiological form. This is known as the “Health Pass” or “Pase de Salud.” Click here for a link-
2. Tourists/visitors must acquire a negative PCR-RT coronavirus test. The sample for this test must have been taken at most 72 hours before the flight to Costa Rica.
3. Tourists must purchase travel insurance that covers accommodation in case of quarantine and medical expenses due to COVID-19. This policy can be international or purchased from Costa Rican insurers. The travellers insurance Travel Costa Rica NOW recommands, which is the bare minimum but does meet the requirements to enter Costa Rica. If you have any questions about the insurance, email our guy, Johnny at [email protected] ***it should be stated, if you don’t have insurance when you enter Costa Rica, you can still get it before passing thru immigration via internet (not recommended) just sayin.
4. You need to show a return ticket within 90 days. There are no 1-way tickets to Costa Rica, you must show you are leaving within 90 days. *Nicaragua & Panama land border crossings are not an option at this time. It has to be a flight.
