Malcorra opened ibero-american meeting against discrimination today

Today, at the Palacio San Martín, Foreign Minister Susana Malcorra opened the Fourth Special Meeting of the Ibero-American Network of Agencies and Organizations against Discrimination (RIOOD), which will be held until 31 August at the Castelar Hotel, in the City of Buenos Aires.

Some of the special guests that will attend the Fourth Meeting of the RIOOD in Argentina are human rights activists and Nobel Peace Prize awardees Rigoberta Menchú Tum, Shirin Ebadi and Leymah Roberta Gbowee.
Cooperation against discrimination in Ibero-American countries, equal opportunities and development, research and the design of programmes against discrimination are some of the topics that will be addressed over the next few days in the various panel discussions to be held at this international meeting.

RIOOD, created in 2007, is a forum made up of governmental, non-governmental and civil society organizations, at the local and/or international level, aimed at contributing to the fight against all forms of discrimination in Ibero-America in the public and private sectors, both national and international, through the exchange of information and experiences, the production of knowledge, and the performance of prevention and promotion actions among its members.
