The Argentine Government condemns the terrorist attack of 10 January in the city of Kandahar, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, which killed twelve people and left several wounded.

 

The fatal victims include five diplomats from the United Arab Emirates, who were on a mission to implement humanitarian, educational and development projects in Afghanistan.
 

The Argentine Republic conveys its condolences and solidarity to the Governments and peoples of Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates, as well as to the victims’ families.

The Argentine Government reaffirms its intention to intensify the fight against terrorism and to ensure international peace and security, within the framework of international law and respect for human rights.
