Argentina condemns attack on Brazilian presidential candidate

The Argentine Government condemns the act of violence against presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro, who was wounded during a campaign rally.

Argentina strongly condemns these actions, which cannot be allowed in democratic processes. Argentina hopes that the election process, of great significance for Brazil’s institutional life, peacefully leads to the election of the candidate winning the majority vote. Brazil is a kindred people with which we share strong historic ties and traditions.
