        Antoni Fiter i Rossell, jurist, from Ordino, wrote the Manual Digest (1748). The Manual digest de las valls neutras de Andorra is an history book and maxim book, a seminal book for Andorra’s politics. 

        Jacint Verdaguer (1845-1902), Catalan poet, lived in August 1883 in casa Rossell at Ordino. He is deemed one of the most prestigious guests of the country.         Joan Benlloch i Vivó (1864-1926), bishop of Urgell and Catalan co-prince, wrote Andorra’s national anthem.         Boris de Skossyreff (1898-?), a Russian emigré, self-proclaimed “Boris I, King of Andorra” in 1934, before the Catalan Co-prince intervened to restore order.         Bonaventura Riberaygua i Argelich (1892-1950), writer, secretary of Parliament (Consell General) from 1935 to 1950, published in 1946 the book les Valls d’Andorra, a geographical, historical and political documentary about Andorra.         Colonel René Baulard, honorary citizen of Andorra, restored order in Andorra in 1933.         Philippe Wolff (1913-2001), medievalist, member of the French “Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres”.         Jacques Tremoulet (1896-1971), French radio and press magnate, created Radio Andorra in 1939.
