Singapore opens quarantine-free travel with Germany, Brunei | The World

Singapore has announced it will allow quarantine-free entry from next month to travelers from Germany and Brunei who are vaccinated against COVID-19.

But the decision comes after Hong Kong decided to drop its planned air travel bubble with Singapore, due to differing approaches.

Liuqing Yu, an analyst with The Economist’s intelligence unit, says Singapore is pursuing travel bubbles with countries whose policies are compatible with its ‘low-COVID’, rather than ‘zero-COVID’ approach.
